Who we are

With years of experience researching historic buildings, from churches and rectories to schools and community landmarks — we specialise in uncovering the stories that shape our homes. Through detailed archival research and a deep passion for local heritage, we help homeowners connect with the history of the place they love.

Beckie (Founder and Head Researcher)
I have worked with a range of heritage organisations including schools and ecclesiastical entities. Through this work, I developed extensive experience in researching the history, documentation, and legal background of a wide range of properties. Over time, I gained a reputation for locating documents, deeds, and archival material that others struggled to find.

I founded The House Chronicles Co to use these skills to help homeowners uncover the fascinating stories behind their buildings. Every property has a past and I’m here to bring it to light in a way that you and your family can enjoy.

Chris (Head of digital and marketing)

Chris is the engine behind our website, digital content, and social media presence — but his role goes far beyond the online world. With many years of experience in real estate management, he brings a deep, practical understanding of buildings and how they evolve over time.

Having worked with both residential and commercial properties across Europe, Chris has encountered everything from centuries-old structures to cutting-edge modern developments. His insight into how buildings are constructed, adapted, and cared for adds a valuable dimension to our research process.

Chris ensures that the stories we uncover are presented clearly, beautifully, and accessibly — helping homeowners connect not only with the past, but with a wider community of people who love historic homes
