Extent of work
We conduct research on houses in England and Wales. For properties in other locations, we may provide such services on special request. For the scope of the work included in your specific package, please visit our packages webpage.
Expected Completion Dates
Expected completion and delivery dates will be confirmed via email within a few days of your order. If for, any reason, a completion date is likely to be delayed (perhaps due to a vital document being delayed during delivery or staff illness) we will contact the customer as soon as reasonably practicable to let them know of the change of expected delivery date.

Refunds and Cancellations
Orders may be cancelled at any time before delivery by emailing hello@thehousechronicles.co.uk, including your full name, order number, and the address of the property.
You will then be either charged or refunded according to the proportion of work completed at the point of cancellation.
You will be informed via email of the stage of your project at the point of cancellation, along with any outstanding balance owed or refund due.

Payment Terms
Payment is accepted at the point of booking unless a payment plan has been agreed.
Payment plans must be completed according to the schedule outlined at purchase.
Failure to make a payment may result in a pause to project work until overdue invoices are settled.
All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable.
Delivery of Digital and Physical Items
Digital products are delivered via digital PDF or Word. You will be provided a link to a G-Drive or Dropbox folder which holds these documents.
Printed books or documents will be shipped to the address provided. Delivery times for printed items may vary.
We are not responsible for delays caused by postal or courier services.
Changes to Services
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of our services, including website content or pricing. Changes will not affect existing service agreements already in progress unless required by law.
Governing Law
These terms and conditions, and the contents of this website, are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
The user and Benedict Frederick Ltd trading as Home Chronicles Co agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes arising from this website.

House History Clients
When researching your property, the data we collect may include your name, email address, telephone number, property address, and other relevant property details (including design and building history). This data is stored securely within Gmail and internal files held in Dropbox/Google Drive and locally on company devices. Your name may appear on your home history document (which we reserve the right to publish on our website portfolio) as a reflection of the current property ownership. If you do not want your house history to appear on the website please notify us in writing at hello@thehousechronicles.co.uk
We collect this information solely to complete your house history project and to contact you regarding your order.
Due to legal requirements, we must retain basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of six years.
You will not be added to any marketing lists unless you have explicitly opted in. You may elect to opt out again at any time.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delays or failure to perform our obligations resulting from events outside our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, illness, transport disruption, strikes, or technical failures.
